Annual Eastern Section AAPG Student Expo

Monday 8 October 2018
9:00am – 1:00pm
Pittsburgh Grand Wyndham, Room TBA
Free to all students, but must register

The annual Student Expo is a half-day event, and a great way to meet and network with energy industry representatives. The Expo will consist of several brief industry presentations, followed by round-robin table discussions with various industry professionals. Lunch will then be provided, followed by speed presentations of optional student posters. Cash prizes will be awarded for best posters. Students will have an opportunity to speak and interact with industry representatives for the duration of this event. While there will not be formal interview times, industry representatives can arrange interviews on Monday or at other times throughout the annual meeting.

Pre-registration with Student Expo Chair Dr. Tim Carr is required. To register or for more information, please contact Dr. Carr at tim.carr@mail.wvu.edu (304.293.9660).

Companies wanting to sponsor and be part of the Expo should also contact Dr. Carr at the address above.

Exhibitor Registration

The Pittsburgh Section of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) will be collaborating with the Eastern Section of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) to host the 2018 AAPG – SPE Joint Eastern Meeting in downtown Pittsburgh, PA, on October 7-11, 2018. We expect more than 500 industry professionals to attend this event.

We anticipate a meeting filled with technical sessions, short courses, field trips, and workshops that will draw a broad audience of Geologists and Engineers. As an Exhibitor, this meeting represents the perfect opportunity to showcase your company’s products and services to a diverse group of professional Geologists and Engineers. In addition, the planned social events, including an Ice Breaker and Coffee Break, provide the ideal occasion to network with professionals working in the Appalachian Basin, as well as future professionals interested in the oil and gas field.
