Don is the current President of the AAPG – Division of Professional Affairs and the CEO of Olifant Energy II, an independent oil and gas company in Tulsa, Oklahoma. After earning degrees from Duke University and the University of Oklahoma in Geology, Don began his 37 year career in the “oil patch” with Marathon Oil in Midland, Texas and subsequently enjoyed work in exploration, development, acquisitions, divestitures, legal, lobbying, management and business development through a variety of professional engagements.
